What is FINNOVAREGIO?
Finnova Foundation is a Belgian based non-for-profit entity established in 2009 in order to promote innovation at international and local level across Europe. Finnova is on European policies and participates in several European cooperation projects that promote innovation. In addition, Finnova develops spin-off services in association with public institutions that promote environmental sustainability, social inclusion and entrepreneurship. Citizens and businesses can access these facilities in order to obtain financial and non-financial resources such as knowledge and skills. Finnova coordinates the “Glocal Training” project, allowing 90 young Spanish people to have a working experience in Brussels. ‘Glocal Training’ promotes transnational mobility among young people in order to carry out projects and initiatives related to their academic and professional profile. This programme targets on specific areas in order to assure that acquired skills and knowledge can be applied immediately.
he Finnova´s contribution for the implementation of the project will include international communication, dissemination activities and exploitation of the results. Moreover, it will be in charge (collaborating with project partners) of the activity contents, providing an efficient knowledge transfer. Given the partner’s experience, it will support in implementation of the activities, including meetings with stakeholders and policy makers, organization of high level conferences, creative labs, and round-table. Finnova will host and organise the last meeting in Brussels and plan a guided tour in the European Parliament where there will be a simulation of a European Parliament Setting. Participants, divided into small groups, interact with each other in order to solve such an important issue as the refugee crisis. Finnova will also send participants to each international project event.
